This privacy statement explains how BMW Tweaks handles the processing of personal data. For example, it is indicated which (categories of) personal data is collected and for what purpose the personal data is used. BMW Tweaks also indicates the legal legal basis on which the processing of personal data is based.
This privacy statement applies to all customers of BMW Tweaks as well as everyone who contacts us via the contact form, e-mail or SMS.
The processing of personal data by BMW Tweaks falls within the statutory exemption regulations. For that reason, the processing has not been reported to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

Legal basis and purpose for processing personal data
The legal basis for the collection of personal data is: (I) Processing is necessary for the performance of the agreement. (II) The processing is necessary to meet the legal obligations that apply to the company. If you do not wish to provide any (personal) data to BMW Tweaks, BMW Tweaks will not be able to provide services to you or to contact you. In addition, it is possible that BMW Tweaks cannot meet the contractual, legal and necessary obligations. In such cases, you will be responsible for any adverse consequences caused by not providing the personal data. If you are willing to only provide information about the car, then payments can only be made in cash.
Types of personal data and storage period
Your personal data will only be processed if you want to use the services of BMW Tweaks or if you contact us via the contact form on the site, via SMS or via WhatsApp.
When you contact us via SMS, no personal information is stored except for your telephone number. If you contact us via WhatsApp, in addition to the telephone number used, a possible screen photo and name will also be saved. If you use the contact form on the website, your name, e-mail address and, if you enter this, your telephone number will be saved. This information will only be used to answer your questions. This information is stored for a maximum of 1 year.
When you make an online purchase with us, your name and address, e-mail address and the chassis number of the car are stored. The e-mail address is required for maintaining contact and for sending important information, such as status updates to the processing of your order. The chassis number of the car is required to provide release codes for navigation updates. This personal data is stored for a maximum period of 7 years.
Transfer to third parties
Personal data is processed by companies engaged by BMW Tweaks to implement the agreement, or otherwise perform work for BMW Tweaks. You can think of the payment providers of BMW Tweaks.
Your personal data will also be shared with third parties if BMW Tweaks is obliged by law to pass on your personal data to competent authorities.
Security
BMW Tweaks has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against loss or unlawful processing. This way your personal data is stored encrypted on our own server in the Netherlands.
Your privacy rights
Data that is no longer needed will be deleted. You are entitled to inspect, rectify, delete or limit the processing of your personal data in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation.
